These glasses are made of a very special kind of glass called Alexandrite, also named Neodymium glass. It changes colour according to different lighting conditions. The glass appears lilac/pink in natural sunlight or yellow artificial light, and smokey blue in fluorescent/white light. This is due to the presence of neodymium oxide in the glass.
